Your Inputs: Putting the IAS 2025 Kigali Declaration into Action

At IAS 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda, the global HIV community united behind the Kigali Declaration – a powerful call to action urging governments, multilateral organisations, philanthropies, and civil society worldwide to recommit to five core actions:

  1. Embrace meaningful partnerships
  2. Support global HIV research
  3. Prioritise HIV prevention
  4. Protect human rights
  5. Reject the politicization of science

These actions are critical to advancing global HIV prevention and building a more equitable, rights-based health system worldwide.

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is leveraging its convening power through the Road to Rio initiative to work with its members and broader networks to co-develop HIV prevention advocacy priorities that reflect scientific evidence and community perspectives.
